Although I know what the assignment for November is, if it is alright with everyone I would like to dedicate this months photos to my brother, Blackie, who sadly had to be put to sleep today, November 5. He will be greatly missed by all of his many brothers and sisters, especially me. He welcomed me into the family about 10 years ago with open paws as he has all his brothers and sisters. He introduced all of us at different times and made sure we all got along and loved one another. He especially loved Mom. She took care of him and tried to make his life comfortable. He had diabetes and had to have insulin injections twice a day for quite awhile. He recently developed colitis and could not control himself no matter how much our human Mom tried to take care of him. His diabetes got the better of him and he just couldn't get around anymore due to his worsening arthritis. He could hardly walk and his weight ballooned up to 20 pounds. So, this months photos are dedicated to Blackie the best brother cat anyone could ever have in the whole wide world!!!!!!! Photo 1 is of me when I was just a kitten and Blackie was taking care of me. I just loved him and he loved me. Photo 2 is a photo of Blackie when he was much, much younger. This was when he was well and thin. And, no, those aren't my human moms feet. They are my aunt's. Photo 3 is a photo of Blackie about one year ago. Yes, he got much fatter. But, he still walked the floors and oversaw what we were all doing and there are many of us, and if we misbehaved he straightened us out. But, he loved us to the end as we did him. BLACKIE, WE WILL NEVER FORGET YOU OR EVER STOP LOVING YOU. YOU WILL BE SADLY MISSED. THANK YOU TO EVERYONE FOR LETTING ME PAY HOMAGE TO MY BROTHER BLACKIE. I KNOW HE IS IN A BETTER PLACE WHERE THERE IS NO PAIN AND HE IS PLAYING WITH ALL MY BROTHERS AND SISTERS WHO PASSED BEFORE HIM. WE ALL LOVE YOU BLACKIE!!!!!! MOM REALLY MISSES YOU MOST THOUGH.

Sasha sent a photograph of a typical January in Connecticut. Yes, it's cold. Tiger is a queen about town who prefers outdoor sports and activities to sleeping indoors on a nice, soft pillow. Silly cat! To each his own!
