Sasha of West Side and Her Page of Photographs!

August 2007 Submissions by Sasha of West Side!

Unfortunately, in July, Sasha accidently let her camera slip from her paws. It fell on the floor and broke. She was very distraught but another cat named Frank, whom she knows very well bought her a new one and here are her photographs!

Photo #1 is obvious. It is a spider web covered in the morning rain. I just loved the way it looked. But I really hate spiders.

Photo #2 is Maggie next door. This is my dog picture. She loves her picture taken and the attention. I took all my photos with my brand new Canon Camera.

Photo #3 and the last photo are of my bright pink Hibiscus bush in the front yard. The flowers are almost plate size.

Not many cats get to view of their neighborhood from the top. How peaceful and gorgeous this view is. It looks out across the brook for which our neighborhood is named, Twin Brook, which runs through my backyard. What a lucky cat I am to have seen this view from the roof of my peoples house.

I decided to check out the other side of the neighborhood. I got a chance to look out at all the trees in the distance. How different the world looks when you are up high and not down on the street with all the cars and running around of all the people.

And last but surely not least. This is one place a cat never wants to go. Check out the new chimney on my peoples house. This is where all the smoke comes out in the winter when my people turn the furnace on to help keep me warm and cozy. But, it is not a place where a kitty like myself wants to go!! It is a very dangerous place. Notice the cap on the top. We have to keep those pesky birds out of our house. They are really dumb!!! They come right down the chimney and die in there. I think they try to make a nest there to keep there babies warm but fall in.

October 2007 Submissions by Sasha of West Side!

Here are my photos for this month. They may not be in line with the assignment, but I felt they were really good photos. Let me know what you think! Thanks Sasha Photo 1 - What a wake up call!! Thank goodness no kitties lived here! I was really scared to look out my window and see fire coming out of the house across the street. Just a gentle reminder to all good kitties to be sure your smoke detectors are working. The person who lives here didn't even know her house was on fire until someone rang her bell and banged on her door to alert her! Fire detectors save lives!!! Persons need advance warning to get us kitties out of the house safely. Photo 2 - Just the remainder of the front of the house where the fire started. Photo 3 - This is Charlie the spider who likes to live on my persons car. He spins his web all night from the garage to the car antenna. Then waits for his dinner. Photo 4 - This is a photo of a retainer wall my person completely on Sept. 8th. He put the last cinder block in, BUT ------ Photo 5 - Catastrophe strikes!!!!! On Sept. 11, only 3 days later, the wall falls down!!! Now for the clean up!! My people have to pay a lot of money to have it removed from the brook and have a new one built before winter. No kitty cats were injured in this catastrophe!!!
