The only puddles I've found around here are not from winter - but are runoff from the sprinklers. I'm sending a picture which has flower and also cacti blooms.

Here is my May entry. It's a simple tree but is full of meaning to us. When we lived in a different condo but in the same complex, we'd take our morning walk and always pass by this tree. Many of the roots were exposed above ground. And one root formed an oval. That was our 'magic' oval. We'd stand there a minute - and then we'd go to the tree trunk and just feel it's bark. It naturally sheds little pieces of bark . You can see the oval root formation (which used to be completely enclosed) and pieces of bark in the close up.
