When I was a tomcat prowling the streets, I considered birds feed. Now I live with a person who feeds birds. The English Sparrow is not native to the United States, it was brought over in the 1800s and adapted well to the New England climate. We have several birdhouses filled with Sparrow families. Fuji S5700 full auto, flash disabled, though a window, touched up with PS
I saw Sidney's friend BJ under the deck, then looking in the basement window, then sitting in the front yard. She waited until I could get my camera ready for a picture.
His submissions for March 2007
My first March entry is a Sparrow couple setting up housekeeping in a tree outside Henri's home. It should be a Spring like day, but we had snow on Saint Patrick's Day. The left foto was taken through a window. I tried to set up the camera with the window open but that kitten STELLA was all excited about the birdies. She kept bumping me and knocking things over. I returned the next day and this time I closed the door so I could take the right foto with the window open. Note how much brighter it is! If you look close you can see some straw sticking out of the house from the nest they built inside. Fuji S5200, full auto, processed by PSP-10.
Clarence just happened upon a bunch of sprouting daffodils. They were around the pine tree in my front yard. They therefore are my daffodils!

That cat must have daffodils on the brain! Here is another photograph of the soon to be yellow flowers! He took this photograph when he was on a trip with his person to a town called Seymour. (And I thought Seymour was a cat's name!)
Clarence's April 2007 Submissions!
Clarence sent me these photographs. That big bird is a Canada Goose. The flower is what we call a magnolia blossom here in Connecticut. Ever since Clarence got his new camera, a Pentax DSLR, he walks around the neighborhood taking pictures, his head low to the ground because the camera he has hanging from his neck is very heavy! He takes photographs of just about everything! He persuaded Max, my next door neighbor to pose for him. Notice the postion of the feet. He looks like a runway model, don't you think!
