Chevy's February 2008 Photographps!

The first is of the shadow that the tree formed on the garage. The second is a much more complex and interesting photo in this cat's opinion. It was very much unplanned. I walked into the master bath to check out my fur and saw this beautiful shadow play on the wall. I quickly ran to get my camera before the sun went down. It is actually created by the sun shining on the tree outside the window which created a shape on the window's mini blinds and onto the wall. It was a very windy day and so the shadows were constantly moving and changing. I could've used a faster shutter speed to freeze the movement but I like how it is a little fuzzy and mysterious.

Chevy's March 2008 Photographps!

Chevy sent these photographs. It seems, spring is late in coming to Rochester!

I, too have one of these toys but haven't played with it for some time. Chevy likes to bat the ball around the track. Maybe I should get mine out of the closet and give it a whack!

Chevy's April 2008 Photographs!

Meow Henri, We've had only 1 day of rain in April (highly unusual here) and there's little forecast for the next week. What's a cat to do but submit the one puddle that she found?

It's typical to have about 4" snow in April here but this year we've had barely a trace...and I was so hoping for some Spring snow photos to send you. Instead, I happened upon a lovely bunch of crocuses.

Purrs to you and Clarence, Chevy P.S. I really hope that Jerome has retired.

Chevy's May 2008 Photographs!

I couldn't resist sharing this photo of peach blossoms with you. Would you believe that it was only in my last cat life (2 years) that I ever noticed the peach trees that I've been surrounded with all my life? They've been overshadowed by cherry and apple trees. This is the best of the shots that i took but the full orchard looks like lace

Rochester is renowned for its lilacs. Every year at this time they have a Lilac Festival. To quote the website "Today, over 500 varieties of lilacs cover 22 of Highland Park's 155 acres. Rochester's famous Lilac Festival is a lavish array of flowers, attractions, and special events that signal the arrival of spring. The 1,200-plus lilac bushes in Highland Park create a floral rainbow ranging from the deepest of purples to the purest of whites." It's beautiful. And if you drive down Highland Avenue and if your car windows are rolled down, you can smell the exquisite lilac fragrance.
Unfortunately, I cannot get a ride down there but my person made an excursion to a local lilac farm where I saw a beautiful two-toned lilac. I'd never seen one like it before. I've always seen lilacs of one color. I'd like to submit this as my second photo for the month of May. Isn't it beautiful? I once again took this photo on Macro mode.
