Chevy's Photographs for May 2007!

Chevy is a friend of Clarence of Belden. She sent him some photographs. I decided that they should be posted on Fabulous Feline Fotographers. Please welcome Chevy of Rochester, New York!

I'm happy to report that I'm recovering well from my recent surgery. So well in fact that I decided to accompany my humans to their family reunion yesterday at the farm. It was a beautiful day but all they wanted to do was play these ridiculous games - broom-throwing, nail pounding, log sawing, rope hoisting, apple peeling...I quickly tired of it all and decided to go for a walk up the country lane. I ducked under the electric fence carefully so as to not get a shock on my tail and strolled up the hill. I turned around and took this lovely picture of the barn and yard. It's been in my human's family for over 100 years. I continued on my merry way and soon discovered why the barnyard was deserted. All the pregnant ladies were out for an afternoon salad. They were quite friendly and came right up to me. Fortunately, I'm not afraid of Holstein dairy cows (Texas Longhorns are another story!). Bessie came up to me and let me pat her nose and check out her earrings (not to my liking but she was quite proud of them). Two other friends also posed for me (the rest of the ladies were a bit shy and didn't like to face my camera though they did greet me and let me pet them). They invited me to feast with them but I'm not much of a salad cat so I decided to head back, being very careful to watch where I was stepping to avoid those meadow muffins, and see what silly things the humans were doing (at that moment trying to climb over a 6-foot step ladder before it fell over). Fortunately, they had a very good barbecue of chicken, hamburger and hots before we came home. All in all, it was a lovely way to spend an afternoon!
(Henri meowing here: Chevy recently endured oral surgery and had a few teeth removed! We all wish her well!)
